who says that, unless you have Speilberg as your uncle, or an oil tycoon as your father, you have to spend 30+ years working your way up the production office ranks?  well, probably a lot of people.  and I’m sure they have a point…

this blog follows my experiment to become a film producer overnight, on a production which is entirely my responsibility, and which is rapidly growing in expectation and budget.  will I succeed?  who knows.  will the film consume my finance and sanity, leaving me lying broken and penniless in North London, sobbing, listening to the listless cries from prostitutes in the brothel below my illegal live/work unit, while my brother continues to build up his pension working for the BBC?  Jesus, I hope not.

but if so, at least you can learn from my mistakes…
